Jewelry Trends in 2023 to Start Shopping Now

As the year 2023 unfolds, new jewelry trends have emerged and captured the hearts of fashion enthusiasts around the world. From intricate floral jewelry to bold statement necklaces, this year's jewelry trends are all about making a statement and expressing one's unique sense of style.

Floral Jewelry

One of the biggest trends in jewelry for 2023 is floral designs. From delicate, dainty pieces to bold, statement-making jewelry, floral designs are everywhere this year. These designs are perfect for adding a touch of nature-inspired beauty to any outfit.

We know what you're thinking - flower designs aren't really something groundbreaking. However, one popular trend is floral-inspired necklaces that feature intricate, 3D designs with multiple layers of petals and leaves. These necklaces can be worn with casual outfits to add a touch of sophistication, or they can be paired with evening wear to add a pop of color and femininity. If you’re a fan of floral designs, then hurry on and take a look at Misahara’s Petal Collection -beautiful flower designs and butterfly rings dazzled in pink sapphires and white diamonds.

Another popular trend in floral jewelry is the use of real flowers in jewelry. Pressed flowers in resin pendants or earrings add a unique touch of nature to any look. These pieces are perfect for bohemian and nature-loving fashionistas who want to express their love for the natural world.

Bold Necklaces

In 2023, bold necklaces are a must-have accessory for anyone who wants to make a statement with their jewelry. These necklaces come in a variety of shapes and sizes, from chunky chokers to long, layered chains.

One popular trend in bold necklaces is the use of oversized chains. These necklaces feature large links that give the jewelry a chunky, industrial feel. They can be worn alone as a statement piece, or layered with other necklaces to create a unique look. Our favorite is Misahara’s New York Chain. As seen on Melissa McCarthy, New York chain ticks all the boxes when it comes to bold necklaces. It has links, it has diamonds and it makes a big neck statement. And guess what? It comes in enamel, white and rose gold! The perfect chain jewelry piece if you ask us.

Another trend in bold necklaces is the use of colorful gemstones. Necklaces featuring vibrant stones like emeralds, rubies, and sapphires add a pop of color to any outfit. They can be paired with neutral clothing to add a touch of sophistication, or with bold prints to create a more eclectic look. Mini Charm necklace lets you create your own perfect gemstone necklace – offering all 12 birthstones for each month. Which ones are you choosing?

Layered Necklaces

Layered necklaces are another trend that has gained popularity in 2023. This style involves wearing multiple necklaces at once, often with different lengths and styles. The layered necklaces include styles such as pendants, chokers and more to create the famous, layered look.

One popular way to wear layered necklaces is to pair delicate chains with bolder statement pieces. This creates a unique, bohemian vibe that is making a big come back in 2023.

Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Materials

As the world becomes more conscious of its impact on the environment, the jewelry industry is following suit by incorporating sustainable and eco-friendly materials into its designs. Expect to see an increase in the use of recycled metals, ethically sourced gemstones, and materials like bamboo, cork, and hemp. Designers are also experimenting with biodegradable and compostable materials like mushroom leather and algae-based plastics. Sustainability is very important at Misahara, so we’re always looking for new ways to make our business more sustainable, like sourcing precious stones from ethical mines. We have also introduced a Gold Card, eliminating the use of paper business cards. Each gold business card is fully customizable and includes a unique QR code that links directly to your digital contact information or website.

Statement Earrings

Statement earrings are making a comeback in 2023, with bold and oversized designs taking center stage. From geometric shapes to intricate beading and fringe, these earrings are meant to make a statement and add a pop of personality to any outfit. Whether you prefer studs or dangly designs, statement earrings are a versatile trend that can even be used to make a bold ear stack

Mixed Metals

Gone are the days of sticking to one metal color for your jewelry. In 2023, expect to see an increase in the mixing of metals, with gold, silver, rose gold, and copper all making appearances in the same piece. The key is to find pieces that blend seamlessly together and create a cohesive look.

Personalized Jewelry

Personalized jewelry has always been popular, but it’s set to take on a new level of customization in 2023. From engraved initials to birthstone earrings and even handwriting, jewelry is becoming more personal and sentimental than ever before. This trend is perfect for those who want to add a special touch to their accessories and make them truly one-of-a-kind.

Pearl Necklaces

Pearls are timeless, and they’re set to make a big comeback in 2023. From classic pearl necklaces to modern and edgy designs, pearls are versatile and can be worn with any outfit. Designers are also experimenting with non-traditional pearl shapes and colors, like black and gold.

Chunky Bracelets

Bracelets are no longer just a delicate accessory. In 2023, chunky bracelets are taking over, with bold and statement-making designs. From thick bangles to stacked cuffs, these bracelets are meant to be noticed and add an extra element of texture and dimension to your outfit.

Geometric Shapes and Celestial Designs

Geometric shapes are everywhere in 2023, from clothing to accessories. Jewelry is no exception, with designers incorporating triangles, circles, squares, celestial designs and other shapes into their designs. These shapes can be incorporated into any piece of jewelry, from earrings to necklaces and luxury bracelets. After many seasons of flamboyance and maximalism, designers of the Milan Fashion Week showed appreciation for wearability and simpler silhouettes which can be elevated by wearing celestial designs and geometric shapes for an edgy twist.

Vintage-Inspired Designs

Vintage-inspired jewelry has always been popular, but it’s set to make a big comeback in 2023. Think intricate filigree, Art Deco-inspired designs, and antique finishes. These pieces add a touch of old-world glamour and sophistication to any outfit and are perfect for those who want to stand out from the crowd. You don’t have to look around for vintage jewelry, you just might have it at home, in a form of an heirloom that needs just a little bit of reimagining.

“Truthfully, I was not entirely impressed with the Fall 23 runway shows. Maybe it's simply correlated to where I am in my life. Schiaparelli's surreal humor was an eyesore and labels that offered interpretations on "what it means to dress rich" and interpretations on "beauty of imperfections" were exaggerated to a point they seemed sloppy.

Bottega never disappoints! With Daniel Lee gone I was anticipating back to the early days of Tomas Maier. The slick slippers with a sleek gown was super chic. The leather jeans and boxer - super cool.

My absolute favorite show was Dior led by creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri. The "Reimaging" silhouettes from the past were stunning. She is able to reach modern women with her designs. Obsessed!

That's my rundown!" - Lepa Galeb-Roskopp
