At the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance 2021
The meaning behind Concours d’Elegance
The legendary Concours d’Elegance, a term of French origin meaning a “competition of elegance,”refers to the prestigious car show held at the world-renowned Pebble Beach. While the concept dates all the way back to 17 th -century France where aristocrats would parade around in horse-drawn carriages in the parks of Paris during summer holidays, Concours d’Elegance celebrated its 70 th year anniversary at the one-of-a-kind Pebble Beach. Held every August, it is the finale of Monterey Car Week which hosts nearly 30 car events featuring car shows, charitable performances, auctions and races.
Pebble Beach Concours 2021
After a long year of COVID and 2020’s Concours being cancelled, car enthusiasts flocked back to the lawn where thousands of cars, some old some new, lined the golf course. Car week at Pebble Beach in 2021 inspired connoisseurs to put on their best attire and bring an excited energy to a very special event. While the world’s finest car manufacturers all host their own shows and events, Misahara is (obviously) partial to Casa Ferrari, as one of Ferrari’s exclusive jewelry partner. For Misahara, our 4th year at Concours entailed champagne flowing through the crowd while clients perused the luxurious jewelry display around the world's most desirable cars.
Inside the vintage Pebble Beach Concours
While jewelry was the focal point at the Misahara cottage, it was only fitting that [we] held a racing Simulator competition. The best part of the competition was that one of the lucky 1st , 2nd , or 3 rd place racers was entered to win a special surprise, *hint* it was jewelry related. While champagne was drunk, jewelry was bought, and laughs rumbled, Ferrari stole the show with the unveiling of the Ferrari 296GTB for the first time in North America. In the words of Lepa Galeb, Misahara’s designer, when asked about her time with Ferrari, “Flying straight in to Casa Ferrari from Europe to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Concours d’Elegance was amazing. Ferrari is simply my favorite partnership because the clientele understands quality, craftsmanship and unique design. Simply put, they want what most people do not have. One day and it was epic! I cannot wait for next year.”
Until we meet again in 2022, au revoir! In the meantime, make sure to check our Serengeti collection here.
